Following  the unexpected stop  to various footballing  activities all around  the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic, league around the world  have been looking  for various means of ensuring all existing leagues are either  completed or cancelled.

Meanwhile, in other leagues, winners have emerged from leagues such as the Eredevise as well as the Belgian League while  other leagues  such as the German Bundesliga kicked off over the weekend.

The Scottish league however would not be restarted and has been unanimously agreed that Celtic be crowned league champions as the league has been cancelled.

There had initially  been some debate over what decision Scotland would take, with speculation that all clubs were not in agreement. As with the three professional leagues below the Scottish Premiership, the final standings have been decided on points-per-game, which crowns Celtic as champions and relegates Hearts.

However, in a statement that says it was a unanimous decision, the SPFL has announced that the league will not be completed. Also, the three professional leagues below the Scottish Premiership, the final standings have been decided on points-per-game, while crowning Celtics, relegated  Hearts.
