The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike on Sunday oversee the demolition of two hotels in the state for violating a lockdown order of the state government.

Prodest Hotel, Eleme and Etemeteh Hotel, Onne have now been demolished by the state government.

The governor had imposed a lockdown and directed all hotels in the state to shut immediately in order to curtail the spread of the deadly COVID-19 virus.

It would be recalled that a few days ago, the governor intercepted trucks carrying cows and several passengers into the state.

He ordered the arrest and isolation of the passengers and gave approval for the sale of the cows.
